My first day blogging finds me at my kitchen table working on my laptop, which rarely happens for me. Many of you know me as someone who is always moving, either through yoga poses, walking, or on my bike. But, I am grounded for the next 8 weeks! I had foot surgery! I am either laying in my bed, sitting in my rocking chair or at the kitchen table. I have never sat so much. Ugh....yes my bum is sore.I ride around my house on a knee scooter and will attempt crutches to enable myself to get out into the world by the end of this week. Having the surgery this time of year was a good idea. The weather is cold thus less tempting to go for a walk in the park or a bike ride on our fabulous Fayetteville multi-use trails.
My doctor, Dean Bright did a fine job making me feel comfortable and at ease. Thumbs up to Physician's Specialty Hospital in Fayetteville. They are a top notch facility putting the patient first! I am especially grateful to my husband, David who has been a fabulous care giver and to all of you that have brought me food and come for a visit. Not having the use of your foot is a strange feeling. We take our walking for granted and expect our feet to perform when ever we touch them to the ground and put our weight into them.
